All the benefits of this kind of a tote bag
We all love a good tote bag, but you probably already have several lying around the house. What makes this tote bag any different? Let me tell you!
This tote bag doesn't only look nice, it is sturdy, lightweight, and can be washed. And I don't even mean hand-washed! I've already thrown mine in the washing machine several times, and they come out great (max 40°C). Just don't throw it in the dryer since the handles contain recycled plastic, and they might react badly to the heat.
It's also surprisingly spacious—even in the smallest version, it can fit a 16" laptop. And it's so strong that you don't have to worry about it not carrying the weight and dropping all your precious items. It even has a small zippered pocket on the inside for your keys or wallet because we all know keys contain an extra gravity feature that will make them sink to the bottom of your bag every time.
Another perk: you can fold it up (the print doesn't crack) and take it with you in a smaller bag, so you have something with you in case of some last-minute shopping.

What's it made of
These bags are made out of 75% pre-consumer recycled cotton, 22% post-consumer recycled polyester, and 3% other fibers. The contrasting colored handles have ethnic or Japanese-inspired graphics and are 60 cm long and 4,25 cm wide for extra comfort. (The Black night version contains 67% pre-consumer recycled cotton, 30% post-consumer recycled polyester, and 3% other fibers.)
Uhm pre-post-what?
There are 2 different processes to obtain recycled materials. You have pre-consumer recycling which means scraps and raw materials are recycled during the production of clothes. So nobody has worn or used it, and the scraps and/or leftovers are being used to create new threads. Then there is also post-consumer recycling. This means recycling materials or clothes that have already been used, giving them a second or third (or fourth, or fifth, or whatever number) life. The 20% recycled polyester in these tote bags is actually 2 recycled plastic bottles.
